The one about the ice started last night.
In no time at all, the sleet covered us up.
Luckily, we kept power all night.
And fortunately still have it.
Unlike many, many of our neighbors who have the same electric co-op.
this is also the one about me and my boots and sweats (always fashionable!)

braving the weather to grab some pictures of the damage.
Also the one about Angus braving the weather to find a place to do his business.
(I won't post those pictures, kay?)

and see that squirrel?
No?
look right in the middle there.
normally, I would not be able to hear him jumping from limb to limb.
Today, he sounded like thunder...crackling and popping with every step.

See this net-looking thing?
I have no idea what it is either.
It has no significance.
But it looked real cool covered in ice.
Hubs said it some kind of covering off of something or another.
It was laying on the ground by the shop....and a gas can.

That means they will die a slow, cold death.
Okay, that was depressing.
And I cannot end this post on a depressing thought.
So I leave you with this:
....to be continued.

That frozen little bud is sad, but it's a sweet picture! Stay warm!!!
yikes!!! that ice is CRAZY! it is pretty though isn't it?...stay safe!!
Oh WOW..oh NOOOOOoooo! You did get some gorgeous pics out of it -- but it makes me sad too to see trees down like that!
Hopefully you are feeling better -- even after your romp in the SNOW -- ahem!
Stay warm....glad you have power!
Wow. That's a lot of ice there. That's one thing I really don't miss about AR. I remember Christmas break 2000 we were home visiting and had no power for 3 days...some of our friends were out for a week. Know what else makes me sad? The fact that your trees have buds on them at all!! We won't see buds for months. Boo! Hiss! I'm ready for spring/summer today.
Beautiful photos - that ice is so dramatic! Thanks so much for sharing!
Hey There..I stopped by yesterday, but lost power so I couldn't leave you a note.
I loved your pictures and it looks like you are as fashionable as I am when it comes to headed out in the cold. And girl does it look cold where you are at!!!
Have a happy week.
